Ezio, the Yorkshire Terrier was attached by a dog that was 10 times his size and has paralyzed on his left side after protecting a 3 years old boy. Now, the family is raising fund to cover his surgery and treatment. Please help spread the word and go to GoFundMe to make a donation. Even $1 will help.
“Ezio saved our 3 year old grandson, Gavin from being attacked by the neighbors vicious dog while playing in our own back yard. He received multiple injuries including a broken neck, crushed trachea, torn muscles and ligaments in his neck. He has had two lifesaving surgeries this past weekend. He is now breathing on his own and is in stable but guarded condition. He is paralyzed on his left side. He needs additional surgeries to repair the damage done to his spinal cord and c2 vertebrae. Without this surgery, he may never walk or play again,” said Shannon Long.
Have you heard of Monday Night Mission? They are a non-profit organization that feeds the less fortunate on Skid Row which is located in downtown Los Angeles. They meet every Monday through Friday at the Burger King at 7.30pm at 700 West Cesar e Chavez ave, Los Angeles CA 90012.
Volunteers will then gather at Burger King’s outing seating area to prepare food then car pool to skid row. Upon arrival at the Skid Row, often there is a long line of people already waiting to get fed.
Once a portable table is set up, one of the volunteers will stand in front of the line and ask what his/her name is and all the other volunteers will say hello to his/her by name. What an awesome idea that these volunteers actually take time to acknowledge those people instead of just simply hand out food and leave.
According to Mel Tillekeratne, the person who in charge of Monday Night Mission, he hopes this simple act can bring some warmness to them. If you’re in Los Angeles, come join them.
