Here is how you can find the default gateway IP or your Netgear router.

How to find Netgear router login IP?

As I have discussed that the first step toward accessing the admin panel of your NetGear router is you have to find its IP address. And as many companies are configuring their router in a different way to the regular IP and URLs are not gonna to help you to access your Netgear router login page.

So there is a different method available to find the IP address of your Netgear router Login and in this article, I will be sharing two of them that will be guaranteed to help you to find the IP address of your Netgear router.

Let’s discuss one by one…

So, the first method which I am going to share with all of you to find the IP the address is Manual guidelines.

Along with the production of routers, companies also prepare manual guidelines regarded the router and they mentioned everything about the router so that it becomes easy for consumers to use it.

Let’s see what you can find from this manual guidelines?

Wireless Network Name (SSID): SSID stands for Service set identifier which is the name of your wireless network. Wireless Network Name is recoverable, so in case you forgot it then don’t worry because you can recover it.

Wireless network passphrase: Wireless network passphrase is used for the security purpose. This is also recoverable so in case you forgot the passphrase then open the browser type the URL http://www.routerogin.net and hit enter. It will show you the Netgear router login page enter the default username and password which is admin and password. Once you login selects the wireless setting and recovers your passphrase.

Default username and password

The default username and password of your router is admin and password and it will always remain same until you don’t change it. So, if you want to change the default username and password then you can change it from the admin panel.

I know some of you do not have the manual guidelines so it would be very difficult to find the IP address of the router. And if you are one of them then don’t worry because I am going to share one another method which will help you to find the IP address of your router without the help of manual guidelines.

As we have discussed above that many manufacturers configure their router differently but I have not discussed that many router manufacturers provide the same IP to access the login page for user convenience.

Issues – Netgear router login page access

Check connection First of all, before going to access the login page in your browser, check your router connection with your computer if the connection is established but if still, it’s not working then connect the router with your computer using wire.

Wired connection to the router provides better results. Browser cache If the above method doesn’t work then it might be a problem of your browser cache. Clear the browser cache and then try to access the Netgear router login page again.

Here is how you do it…

1. Open your chrome browser, on the right top corner you will see three-point
line click on it.

2. Then select more tools-> clear browsing data.

3. Set the linksys range extender setup ‘all-time’ and then click on clear data. If this method also doesn’t work then try the next one.
Different connections Check if you are connected with multiple networks either it’s wireless or wired then disconnect each and every network and VPN first then connect the router again and try to access your Netgear router login page again.

And if still, you are not able to access your Netgear router login page then go for next one which is a firewall, adblocking and pops up blockers software. Disable antiviruses There is a maximum chance that after applying this method you will get rid of this problem.

As we all know antiviruses are made to restrict the code which it seems like a harmful so first disable all the internal and outer antiviruses like a firewall or quick heal etc. and then try to access your Netgear router login page. Still, if your problem has not been solved then I another method too, try next one.

Perform power cycle Perform power cycle on all your devices connected with your router like modem, laptop, desktop, your phone etc. Power cycle means turn off all the devices for 10 seconds and then turn on all of
them. In case, because of your bad luck still, if you are not able to access the Netgear router login page then surely you have to go for the last one.

Factory reset If none of the methods worked discussed above then perform the factory reset of your router and then configure it again.

I am hoping this method is surely gonna to help you. Here is the step to perform a factory reset on your router, follow carefully…

1. Turn back your router and you will see a factory reset button on the back of your router.

2. Press on it for minimum 8 to 10 seconds.

3. Release the factory reset button and wait for your router to reboot.

How to configure your router after performing a factory reset?

After performing the factory reset of your router follow the given step to configure your router.

1. After performing the factory reset, login into your router using the steps given above.

2. After entered in the admin panel, click on the advanced option.
